During my recent stay at Ye Olde Malthouse Inn, I found it to be an excellent blend of value and quality. Nestled in a historical building, the ambiance immediately evokes a sense of tradition. The stone walls and beamed ceilings lend character, making it perfect for those who appreciate vintage charm over modern glitz. The rooms, particularly Room 5, are spacious enough for small families or guests with pets. I appreciated the electric kettle and complimentary tea and coffee, allowing for cozy evenings after a long day of exploring Tintagel Castle and the stunning coastal path. Housekeeping maintained a pleasant standard, ensuring our comfort throughout our stay. The restaurant's offerings were reasonably priced, with a solid menu featuring good quality meals. While there's a lively bar area, it quieted down, allowing for a tranquil night's sleep-ideal after daytime escapades. This place strikes a commendable balance between luxury and value, making it a practical choice for visitors.
